A very good quality proof with an intense and sharp mark; the chiaroscuro effect, typical of the earliest and finest prints, is particularly effective. In perfect condition, with wide, unbroken margins of about 50 mm.
The series of prints from which this engraving comes was made by Giovanni Battista Falda between 1665 and 1669. Composed of three books and entitled "Nuovo Teatro delle Fabriche et Edificii, in prospettiva di Roma Moderna", it constitutes the artist's most important engraved work.
