A naked man seen from behind

Original chiaroscuro woodcut from two blocks in warm reddish-brown, after Parmigianino inches 11,2 x 7,1 (mm 286 x 182)

Original chiaroscuro in two blocks, in warm reddish-brown, after Parmigianino; Bartsch XII 148.13;

Superb proof in vivid brown with a component of red that lends vigour and strength to the construction of the seated figure. Complete with marginal line, the paper is without watermark and has a grain typical of 16th century Italian papers. The four corners, for a tiny surface, have been reinforced on the verso, although unnecessarily because the conservation is perfect.
