The proof is of excellent quality, printed with three different silographic plates, one in each shade. In perfect condition and with uncut margins.

The Birds series, to which this work belongs, was printed in 1880 in Kyoto by Kono Bairei, who made these silographs in two shades of gray and a pale pink. The author composed numerous kachoga, Japanese compositions with flowers and birds, known for their essential elegance.
